This Cookie Policy explains how xtec.it uses cookies and similar technologies (e.g., pixels, tags, identifiers), for what purposes, and how you can manage your preferences.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that websites may store on your device (computer, smartphone, tablet). They help the website work properly, remember preferences, or measure performance. We may also use similar technologies (tags/pixels) that can access information on your device.
2. Types of cookies we use
On xtec.it we may use the following categories:
- Strictly necessary cookies: essential to operate the website and provide a service explicitly requested by the user (e.g., session, cart, security, load balancing). These do not require consent.
- Preference cookies: remember non-essential settings (e.g., language, UI preferences). These require consent where not strictly necessary.
- Analytics cookies: help us understand how the website is used and improve performance. They require consent where they involve non-essential tracking/identification. (If configured in a “cookieless” mode or equivalent, the impact may be reduced.)
- Marketing/advertising cookies: used to measure campaigns and (where applicable) personalise ads. These require consent.
3. How to manage your preferences
On your first visit, you can choose to Accept or Reject non-essential cookies. You can also change or withdraw consent at any time via:
- Cookie preferences panel (a link/action on the website, “Update your Cookie preferences” in the footer).
- Your browser settings (see section 8).
Note: withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before withdrawal.
4. Third-party cookies
Some features may involve cookies/technologies from third parties, which may act as independent controllers under their own notices. In particular:
- Stripe (payments and security/fraud prevention): when you use Stripe-based payment methods (typically during checkout), the Stripe.js library may be loaded and may set technical security and fraud-prevention cookies on our domain, such as
__stripe_midand__stripe_sid. - Google (Tag Manager/Analytics, if enabled): analytics tags may be used depending on your preferences.
- Meta/Facebook (Pixel, if enabled): cookies/identifiers may be used for measurement and campaigns depending on your preferences.

This website also uses client-side browser storage technologies (such as sessionStorage or localStorage) to temporarily store technical information needed to improve product navigation. In particular, the list of viewed products, their navigation order, and technical references to the previous and next product may be stored solely to enable internal navigation among related products or products coming from the same listing. This information is not used for profiling or marketing purposes and is not shared with third parties for such purposes.
7. Storage retention period
The information may be stored for the duration of the browsing session only, or until the browser data is cleared, depending on the technology used and the website configuration.
8. Client-side storage technologies for product navigation
- Strictly necessary cookies: required to operate the website and/or provide a service requested by the user.
- Non-essential cookies (preferences/analytics/marketing): set only with the user’s consent, where applicable.
